Gestern durfte ich bei der ?bergabe von gespendeten Socken und Handschuhe f?r die Franziskusstube in Stuttgart mit dabei sein.
Andrea hatte die Idee, f?r die Obdachlosen dort zu stricken, und hat diese in der Gruppe “Handarbeiten f?r Caritative Einrichtungen” auf Ravelry im April diesen Jahres bekannt gemacht.
Viele flei?ige Strickerinnen haben diese Aktion so engagiert unterst?tzt, dass die unglaubliche Anzahl von 118 Paar Socken (Gr. 42 - Gr. 46) und 35 Paar Handschuhen zusammenkam! Au?erdem wurde noch Kaffee und Rucks?cke gespendet.
Ich finde das grandios!
Bei der ?bergabe an Schwester Margret dabei sein zu d?rfen war etwas ganz besonderes f?r mich. Sie hat sich so gefreut :) Da die bisherigen Strickerinnen aus altersgr?nden nach und nach wegfallen, hatte sie schon Sorge, dass ihre allj?hrliche Nikolausbescherung in der Franziskusstube nicht mehr so stattfinden k?nnte wie bisher. Daf?r f?llt Schwester Margret mit ehrenamtlichen Helfern die Socken mit Geb?ck, einer Mandarine und einem Schokaldennikolaus und jeder Obdachlose bekommt solch ein gef?lltes Paar Socken.
Das Leuchten in den Augen von Schwester Margret war das sch?nste, was ich seit langem gesehen habe :)
Die Hilfsbereitschaft in der Handarbeitsgemeinschaft ist wirklich gro?. Das durfte ich vorletztes und letztes Jahr auch erleben, als ich f?r den Weihnachtsmarktstand der Aidshilfe Stuttgart Socken, Topflappen, Schals, Pulsw?rmer und M?tzen gesammelt habe. Einige gro?e Kartons konnte ich damals auf den Stand bringen und zusammen mit dem anderen ehrenamtlichen Standpersonal verkaufen.
In der oben verlinkten Gruppe auf Ravelry werden verschiedene Projekte vorgestellt, bei denen mit Handarbeiten Caritative Einrichtungen unterst?tzt werden, sowohl in Deutschland wie im Ausland. Die meisten Dinge werden gestrickt, einige auch geh?kelt.
Wer also gerne “an der Nadel h?ngt” ist herzlich eingeladen, sich dort einmal umzuschauen ob vielleicht ein Projekt dabei ist, das man unterst?tzen m?chte.
